Beacon Bonfire Music + Art Festival brings people together through music, art, and shared experiences in Beacon, New York. Held every two years, the festival fills familiar places with performances, discoveries, and opportunities to connect.
The festival is hosted by BonfireWORKS Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting public artworks and arts experiences that inspire human connection. Together with artists, neighbors, and community partners, the foundation makes Beacon Bonfire possible.
During the pandemic, 100 members of Beacon’s creative community gathered around campfires to share music, warmth, and company. Those gatherings offered something people had been missing: a place to connect through creativity.
By 2023, Beacon Bonfire welcomed more than 4,000 festival-goers, celebrating the work of over 400 artists. Music, dance, visual art, and unexpected encounters gave people new ways to enjoy Beacon and connect with each other.
Along the way, we’ve been honored to receive recognition from our wider community: a top-three finish for Best Music Festival in Chronogram’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards, followed by Best Music Festival in Hudson Valley Magazine’s 2026 Best of Hudson Valley awards.
Shaped by artists, neighbors, local businesses, venues, and volunteers, the festival continues in the spirit of those first gatherings: make room for artists, invite people in, and see what happens when a community creates together.
